About Me
I am fortunate to have creativity, resourcefulness and flexibility in my tool belt. This allows me to adapt and evolve, as my career path will attest.
Beginning in technical theatre in Minneapolis provided the foundation to creatively overcome challenges, while staying calm amongst the chaos. Touring with the Guthrie Theatre, spending long hours on the bus and moving to a new town daily, forced me to increase my level of efficiency and organization.
After moving down to Florida to thaw out, Disney provided an opportunity to hone my craft working alongside a team of talented technicians specializing in lighting and props, sound, special effects and costuming. Collaborating with Disney Imagineers to bring their vision to the Magic Kingdom ignited a spark for creative design that I draw from to this day.
Following my future husband to North Carolina game me the opportunity to combine my skills and apply them in a new direction- the custom home construction and design industry. My background in lighting, scenic painting, art history, period furniture, set construction and fabrics made for an natural transition into interior design. The support and encouragement from the Asheville design and build community allowed me to flourish.
Recently I’ve been given the opportunity to challenge my adaptability once again. Approached by my husband to stand in for their regular food stylist, it opened the doors for me to jump feet first into a new realm of possibility. If you have integrity in the work you put forth and enjoy what you do, people will take note. I’m appreciative of my wonderfully supportive family and eternally encouraging and loving husband.
